Model Overview
Powering the Hyundai Sonata is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 191 horsepower while the second engine is a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder unit making 290 horsepower. An 8-speed automatic is the only transmission option. Hyundai claims anywhere from 36 mpg to 38 mpg on the highway depending on trim.

Four trims are available on the front-wheel drive Sonata SE, SEL, SEL Convenience and N Line while the all-wheel drive is only available in SEL. Standard features across the lineup include LED headlights and daytime running lights, 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, an HD satellite radio, a 6-speaker sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, a 12V DC power outlet, wireless device connectivity, and 4 USB ports.

The SEL features heated side mirrors, 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. The SEL Convenience trim adds a power sunroof, 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, voice activated navigation, wireless device charging, and a leather steering wheel.

The N-Line adds a dual-exhaust, sport suspension, larger brakes, a rear spoiler, black exterior accents, 19-inch wheels, sport pedals, a 12-speaker sound system, a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, a leather sport steering wheel and a traffic sign information system.

Standard safety features across the lineup include active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward and rear collision mitigation, front pedestrian detection and a driver attention alert.

The Hybrid Sonata comes in two trims SEL and Limited all powered by a 2L 4-cylinder engine that's mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that makes 150 horsepower. When combined with the electric motors there is an increase to 192 horsepower.

Standard features on the hybrid Sonata include 17-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, intelligent cruise control, selective service internet connectivity, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 4 USB ports, wireless device charging and Bluetooth connectivity.

The top-of-the-line Limited trim adds a power sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, cooled front seats, leather upholstery, driver seat memory, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker sound system, voice activated navigation, a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, head-up display, left and right blind spot view, surround view cameras, front and rear parking sensors, a traffic sign information system, and rear pedestrian detection.
