The Infiniti Q50 ticks all the right boxes for those looking for a classy, intelligent, athletic sports sedan.
The car boasts a sleek exterior of flowing lines based upon the Essence concept car Infiniti debuted four years ago. It features potent engines to match the sleek shape. The Q50 is available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, the base engine is a 3.0L V6, which benefits from twin-turbocharging. In standard tune, it makes 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version delivers 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet. Power is transferred to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The Q50 comes in three flavors -- Luxe, Sensory, and Red Sport 400. The base trim includes speed-sensitive power steering, auto on/off LED headlights with LED fog lights, dual-zone automatic climate control, one-touch up/down windows all around, aluminum appointments, 8-way power driver and passenger seats, a 16-speaker audio system with twin USB ports and steering wheel-mounted controls, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity and dual Infiniti InTouch LCD displays.
Q50 Luxe models add pleasantries such as a power tinted moonroof with one-touch open/close functionality, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, rear automatic breaking with rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor, automatic high beams, remote start, 360-degree camera, and front/rear parking sensors.
The Q50 Sensory models includes 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, leather front seats, power adjustable steering column, memory driver's seat/side mirror/steering wheel, ambient lighting, 16 Bose speaker audio system, climate control with air purifier, auto-dimming/reverse-tilt side mirrors and navigation.
Red Sport 400 adds flavor to the sporty sedan with staggered 19-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires, sport brakes with red calipers, magnesium paddle shifters, carbon fiber interior accents, aluminum pedals, a sport exhaust system and a sport suspension with automatic and driver control modes.
The Q50 will be the first Infiniti vehicle to package all the automaker's driver support technologies under the ProPILOT label. The model will offer Active Lane Control, which prevents drivers from veering out of their lane, as well as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and prevention, forward emergency braking, predictive forward collision warning, backup collision intervention and a second-generation steer-by-wire system.

The Q50 carries over with minimal changes for 2023.
The 2023 Infiniti Q50 is a stylish, sophisticated sports sedan, with European competitors in its sights. The Infiniti Q50 competes with the BMW M340i, the Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 and the Audi S4. Even in the base trim, the Q50 offers a host of luxury and technology features that are hard to beat. The twin-turbo V6 in the Red Sport trim, with up to 400 horsepower, easily trumps output from the top-tier models from BMW and Audi.
